After My Work.

Aim: To understand the fundamental principles of interface design.

Objectives:
Complete designs for input and output HCI's for a specified client.
Include some principles of HCI n your designs.
Explain how an HCI can be adjusted for a specialist need.

Welcome back, this is the last blog before the long awaited half term!

At the beginning of the day, we held the quiz (calling it Friday Quiz now) that I had created on Wednesday. This quiz was related to Human Computer Interaction because it featured a new human interface that helps specialised users with spinal cord injury. It is one of the most interesting quiz videos I've seen, therefore I think it would be good if you check it out too here. By the end of the quiz, Brandon B got the lowest of 3/10 (I watched him so he couldn't cheat, lol).

For starters, Zoë then explained the concept of U20_A2T2, which is worth a Merit. This task is essentially about why we need to explain how our HCI interface designs can suit a specialist need in terms of visual, oral, aural, and physical. However, I was not up to this point yet as I still had a bit of U23_A1T2 to go. 10 minutes later, I completed this smoothly. Then I spent the majority of the day into annotating the different kinds of interface designs I've made last year. A strength was myself being able to correlate this with the previous work as I linked in the fundamental principles of HCI into consideration, such as perception and behaviour models.

Nearer to the end of the day, I finally began U23_A2T2 and asked Zoë about anything I did not understand from the assignment resubmissions (U20_A3 and U20_A4) so I can work this over the holidays. Later on, I managed to complete half before having to leave for my weekly art club. In regards to art, I was able to draw concept character designs of non-humanoid monsters as well as work furthermore on art that I do with my private tutor. My half term has not begun yet because I will be having a two hour session with her tomorrow to start creating my portfolio.

For the reflection of today, I have managed to complete a lot of work load as I am ahead of many others. A strength has been able to keep determined and motivated to work hard, but despite this, the pressure can be overwhelming. My goals are to complete the last half of U23_A2T2 and submit U23A2 as a whole by Monday, to complete more art from the art club/private art tutor lessons, complete the resubmissions and resubmit, revise maths for the upcoming maths exam for matrices, and finally start my fist draft personal statement.

This has been a good term, I've learnt a lot and I definitely need a rest... after my work. :)

See you!
